I initially became interested in mindfulness as I felt it would compliment my work as a counsellor / psychotherapist and have received some amazing feedback from clients. Many of my clients struggle with stress and anxiety and found that learning mindfulness, alongside getting to the root of the anxiety, hugely helped them to manage their symptoms and find different responses to stressful situations.
Personally, I have found mindfulness to be of great benefit on many levels most significantly over the past few years. My husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer back in 2017. The key concept of staying in the present moment helped immensely to keep me grounded, manage the ‘over- thinking’, not look too far ahead and reinforced how precious being in the here and now is.
I currently run a busy private practice in Westhoughton, Bolton. Mindfulness has become a central part of my work with clients and I love the fact that these courses mean more people can learn about it and support their well-being in a positive way.
